ARTICLE VI - THE CHURCH ACCOUNTANT
The Church Accountant shall:
Be accountable and responsible for, all funds of the Lighthouse Baptist Church, and deposit all funds in the name of the Church in banks, trust companies, or other depositories as shall be selected by the Board of Finance.
Disburse, or cause to be disbursed, the funds of the Church as may be directed by Pastor, the Board of Finance, or the budget adopted by the members of the Church at the annual church administration meeting, making proper vouchers for the disbursements.
Keep and maintain adequate and correct accounts of the Church's properties and business transactions including account of its assets, liabilities, receipts, disbursements, and capital.
Make all expenditures of the church (except miscellaneous petty cash disbursements) by check. Any check exceeding $250.00 to an individual, excluding payroll, shall require the signature of the Church Accountant and one Finance Board member.
When and as requested, immediately render to the Pastor and the Board of Finance accounts of all transactions as Church Accountant and of the financial conditions of the Church.
Present a written report of itemized disbursements at the regular quarterly church administration meetings and make a general report for the year at the annual church administration meeting.
Keep all church financial records at the office of the Church and deliver them to any successor upon leaving office.
Prepare Annual Budget as directed by the Board of Finance.
Assist with special procedure engagement (audit).
Attend monthly Board of Finance meetings.
All records must be kept on Lighthouse Baptist Church property.
The Church Accountant, if a member of the church, shall have voting privileges on the Board of Finance.
