Instructional Beliefs

We believe that all academic subjects should be viewed and taught from a Christ-centered standpoint. We believe the Bible is foundational to all truth and should be integrated in all subject areas. "In Christ are hid the treasures of wisdom and knowledge". (Col. 2:3)

We believe that the teaching of academics is only one part of a child's education. Spiritual and moral values, proper attitudes, respect for authority and the rights and feelings of others are also important in the task of training children. Education that includes only the academics is inadequate because it lacks the foundation for on-going achievement.

We believe that God has given the child to the parents. The school cannot be placed in a position to be a substitute for the parent and their instruction. Our role is to help the parent produce individuals, who reflect a Christian worldview and fulfill God's purposes in their lives. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it". (Proverbs 22:6).

We believe that each child is a human being endowed with God-given abilities and unique personality. We believe that each student can meet academic expectations and can become confident, self-motivated, lifelong learners. We recognize that each student will respond differently to that which is presented. However, all of them should be encouraged and exhorted to produce to their fullest capacity.

We believe that a variety of appropriate and relevant instructional approaches and methods of assessment should be provided in order to meet the various learning styles of students.
