Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA)
Separated and Divorced Parents

The school will follow the court order or separation agreement regarding custody of a child, visitation procedures, and release of school records. It is the responsibility of the custodial parent to provide the school a copy of the appropriate sections of the court order or separation agreement, which states applicable procedures, restrictions, custodial arrangements and signatures. In the absences of a written order or agreement, either parent has the right to see the child or have the child released to him/her at the end of the day. The school will provide the custodial parent report cards and appropriate school communications. The school will avoid any agreement that would obligate it to regularly mail copies of the child's records to the non-custodial parent without written permission from the custodial parent. The custodial parent shall be the parent designated with the court order or separation agreement, or absent a court order or separation agreement, the parent with whom the child resides the majority of the time.
