Report Cards
Academic grades, conduct, effort indications and attendance will be reported on a nine-week basis. These are to be checked by the parent, signed and returned to school after each of the first three grading periods. End of the year reports will be held if the account is not paid in full.

Grading Scale
The approved grading scale for LCA is:

A

(93-100)

B

(86-92)

C

(76-85)

D

(70-75)

F

(0-69)

Parent Conferences
Parent conferences will be scheduled during the first nine weeks. There are no other scheduled conferences, but the teachers will be available at any time throughout the rest of the year. We encourage all parents to contact the teachers whenever a question arises regarding student progress. The best way to contact a teacher is to call the school at 562-3900 and leave a message for them to call you back.

Honor Roll Policy
Honor Roll placement will be determined solely according to the following policies:

  • Principals List - Students making all A's on their report card will be named to the principals list for that grading period (GPA 4.0).
  • A Honor Roll - Students making any combination of A's and B's equal to a GPA of 3.5 - 3.9 will be named on the A Honor Roll for that grading period.
  • B Honor Roll - Students making any combination of grades equal to a GPA of 3.0 - 3.4 will be named to the B Honor Roll for that grading period.

Promotions
Students are promoted to the next grade at the end of the school term if their work has been of passing nature during the year. Students are retained for various reasons including: failing two or more major subjects, lack of social/emotional development, or extreme number of absences.
